(Washington, DC)—“Today, the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in a case about a unique Michigan law.
“The Michigan law denies an injured party fair compensation -- unless a drug company misrepresents or withholds critical information from the FDA during the drug approval process. Only then can people receive justice in the courtroom. The U.S. Supreme Court should not make it even more difficult to hold drug companies accountable.
“Warner-Lambert v. Kent will only affect Michigan state tort claims regarding certain prescription drugs and will not be applied broadly.”
