A Trust Fund Victims Can't Trust

Joseph Krotzer’s story

Flint, Michigan. Joseph died from mesothelioma, a terminal cancer caused only by asbestos, because of his exposure to the deadly product while serving in the U.S. Navy and in his work as a machinist.

Joseph was an able-bodied, hardworking man and in great health before his diagnosis. He worked for over 30 years in a physically demanding job as a utility repairman for General Motors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming.
Joseph’s deteriorating health later prevented him from participating in any of these recreational activities.

How would the asbestos bailout bill hurt Joseph’s family?

Joseph’s case is pending and would be wiped out if the proposed bill is enacted. Joseph’s family would never get their day in court and would be forced into the proposed trust fund, to start the whole claims process over again.
