A Message from Dr. Ball

I want to announce an important new project.  By now, most of you have either been to one of my Damages seminars or have a good working knowledge of the book David Ball on Damages.  AAJ has designed its next Damages College to help you take the next essential step.

You won’t be sitting through lectures on material you already know.

Instead, every moment will be devoted to your working in small groups to get guided, on-your-feet practice actually doing the methods—and improving how you do them.  Each small group will be guided by an attorney who has mastered the techniques and has extensive experience helping others master them.

In addition, this new format will give me the chance to spend 45 minutes in tiny, 3-person sessions with every attendee —including 15 minutes exclusively on one of your own cases. This will give you and me far more one-on-one time than I’ve ever been able to provide before at workshops or CLEs.  This is even more important now than ever before, because it will give me the time to show you how to start weaving the overwhelmingly powerful Reptilian approach into one of your actual cases.

This College is not for everyone.  There are prerequisites.  In order to attend, you need to have done any one of four things:

    1.  Attended an AAJ Damages seminar or Colleges within the past two years, or
    2.  Attended a state Trial Lawyer’s Association David Ball on Damages seminar within the past two years. (Not just the Reptilian seminar.)  Or,
    3.  Carefully viewed the DVD of one of the recent AAJ Damages seminars, or
    4.  Carefully studied David Ball on Damages, Second Edition (the red one).

By the time you arrive, I strongly recommend you also read Ball and Keenan’s Reptile (ReptileKeenanBall.com) and Friedman and Malone’s Rules of the Road.

In other words, this College is for serious students of my damages methods who are ready for extended hands-on guidance in getting to the mastery level.  You can’t do this just by reading books, or listening to seminars, or even just by trying it on your own. So this College will be not about me talking.  It’s about you doing.

FACULTY.  We have brought together the nation’s experts in teaching these Damages methods. They’re also among the nation’s finest trial lawyers.  You’ll not only learn from them.  You’ll also find that they’ll become permanent members of your personal network of like-minded colleagues. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work, we’re ready to roll up our sleeves and work with you.  Make yourself an inaugural part of this select group.
