The American Association for Justice, formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, promotes justice and fairness for injured persons, safeguards the rights of injured persons--particularly the right to trial by jury--and strengthens the civil justice system through education and disclosure of information critical to public health and safety.

Membership Coordinator

AAJ is looking for a Membership Coordinator to be responsible for the following:

• Assist Membership Manager with coordination of all aspects of AAJ’s Student Trial Advocacy Competition (STAC). Including regional coordinators selection, event location logistics, team registrations and serve as STAC representative for Law Schools Committee. Coordinate activities of the law school activities, including Ambassadors program, Mentors program, and providing information for law school chapters.
• Assist Membership Manager with the AAJ Paralegal Affiliate Program including Paralegal of the Year Award process and marketing efforts.
• Support staff liaison to Canadian Caucus, International Relations Committee and Paralegal Task Force Committee.
• Coordinate designated scholarship programs for member groups as assigned.
• Maintain and enter data for member exit survey records and prepare summary reports,
• Maintain and develop website information for relevant member groups and committees.
• Perform other web updates for membership department using Content Management System. 
• Maintain listings of state trial lawyers for recruitment and retention efforts. Provide state lists to state trial lawyer associations.
• Assist with answering phones in member service area as needed. 
• Assist managers and supervisor with caucus and committee mailings and projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Membership Coordinator Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 – 3 years of increasingly responsible project management, customer interaction, and administrative work or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skill and ability to perform the work.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and Word, proficiency with word processing mail merges a must. Experience with database entry preferred. 
• Strong project management abilities with demonstrated judgment. Proven ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Experience handling multiple tasks/priorities to deadline with high degree of quality and accuracy.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.   Strong customer service abilities and attitude a must. 
• Excellent typing (60 wpm or higher) with very high accuracy and attention to detail.
