Handgun drop-fires with safety on, severely injuring owner
The owner of the gun, which discharged when it fell from its holster and struck the floor, claimed that an internal device was defective because it failed to prevent the firing pin from striking the bullet when the gun was subjected to a sharp impact, such as from a fall.
