Family of boy crushed by portable soccer goal settles with manufacturer, other defendants
The child’s parents sued the goal’s manufacturer, alleging the goal was negligently designed in that it was top-heavy and had a narrow backstay, making it prone to tipping. They also filed claims against the contractor that oversaw construction of the high school and field where the incident occurred, among others. Ellias v. Porter Athletic, Inc.
