Jeffrey A. Breit concentrates his practice in personal injury, auto collision, products liability, and medical negligence litigation. Mr. Breit serves on AAJ’s Board of Governors. He is a past president of the the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and is an adjunct professor of law at William & Mary Law School. Breit Drescher & Imprevento, P.C. is located in Norfolk, Virginia.

Daniel S. Chamberlain concentrates his practice in brain injury, medical malpractice, birth injury, motor vehicle and trucking collision, and construction site injury litigation. He is a member of AAJ’s Exchange Advisory Committee and a Diplomate of the AAJ’s National College of Advocacy (NCA). He is a frequent speaker and author for AAJ and other professional legal associations. Mr. Chamberlain is a partner in the firm of Doehrman Chamberlain in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Richard D. Hailey concentrates his practice in personal injury. Mr. Hailey is a past president of AAJ (formerly ATLA®), fellow of the Pound Civil Justice Institute, Governor of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA), and a member of the ITLA’s College of Fellows. The law firm of Ramey & Hailey is in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Judy Kostura concentrates her practice in automobile collisions, dram shop, premises liability, wrongful death, burn injuries, driving while intoxicated injuries, attack by vicious animals, trucking industry collisions, and medical negligence cases.  She is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbel, a past president of the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association.  Ms. Kostura is a shareholder in the law firm of Judge, Kostura & Putman, P.C. located in Austin, Texas.

 

Steven C. Laird is board certified in both Personal Injury Trial Law and Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and achieved Civil Trial Diplomate status by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in 1996. He is a sustaining member of AAJ, a Roscoe Pound Foundation fellow, and a director and fellowship member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Laird and Cummings, PC is located in Fort Worth, Texas.

 

John Elliott Leighton, course advisor, is a board certified civil trial lawyer who specializes in medical negligence, nursing home, products liability, and inadequate premises security litigation. He is a member of the NCA Board of Trustees and a cochair of AAJ’s Inadequate Security Litigation Group. He has published articles and book chapters on many topics such as defective juvenile products, inadequate security litigation, medical malpractice, spinal cord injuries and market share liability, and is a frequent lecturer at legal programs and conventions. Mr. Leighton’s firm, Leighton Law, PA, is located in Miami, Florida.

 

Dave Maxfield concentrates his practice on representing individual consumers in disputes with insurance companies, banks, lenders, automobile dealers, and credit reporting agencies. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates, and has twice been elected as chairman of the South Carolina Bar's Consumer Law section.  He speaks frequently about issues affecting consumer rights.  He has taught mind-mapping techniques and technology at several law schools around the country, including the University of Colorado, UCLA, and William & Mary.  The law firm of Trotter and Maxfield is located in Columbia, South Carolina.

 

Charlotte A. Morris, M.A., has been assisting lawyers in litigation since 1993. Her expertise includes the design and analysis of focus group research, case theme development, opening statement/closing argument construction, the development of supplemental juror questionnaires, attorney and judge conducted voir dire and jury strategies, as well as witness evaluation and preparation. Ms. Morris has frequently served on the faculty of AAJ Education trial advocacy colleges and has been a featured guest speaker at Inns of Court, bar association conferences, continuing education programs, and other litigation practice seminars. For six years, she worked with the firm of Zagnoli McEvoy Foley, Ltd. in Chicago and is now a solo practitioner in Raleigh, North Carolina.

 

Robert N. Ray concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal law, personal injury, workers’ compensation, and family law.  He is a member of Baton Rouge Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Louisiana Association for Justice, and AAJ.  Mr. Ray is an associate with the law firm of Kleinpeter & Schwartzberg, L.L.C. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

 

Robert A. Schuetze focuses his practice on plaintiff representation in the areas of serious personal injury, wrongful death, business, and commercial tort litigation. Mr. Schuetze is a past president of the Boulder County Bar Association, and past senior vice president of the Colorado Bar Association. A past president of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, he has been active on the Boards of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and the Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado. He is a partner at Schuetze & Gordon, LLP, in Boulder, Colorado.

 

Lance M. Sears, course advisor, is a member of AAJ’s NCA Board of Trustees, a Diplomate of AAJ’s NCA, a past member of AAJ’s Board of Governors, and a past president of the CTLA. He is the president of the Faculty of Federal Advocates for the Federal District Court of Colorado and the chair of the Colorado State Judicial Performance Commission. He is a partner in the firm Sears & Swanson, P.C. in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

 

R. Daniel Sorey concentrates in nursing home litigation as well as personal injury litigation with a special emphasis on automobile and motorcycle accidents. Mr. Sorey is a member of the Texas and New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association, and The Honorable T. John Ward American Inn of Court. He holds an MBA from Northeast Louisiana University. Mr. Sorey is an associate in the firm of Nix Patterson & Roach, LLP in Daingerfield, Texas.
