Preliminary NHTSA report on Toyota unintended acceleration is flawed, trial attorneys say
In a progress report to Congress last week, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that it has found no electronic cause for sudden-acceleration incidents in Toyota vehicles, based on examination of black-box data. But trial lawyers and safety advocates say black boxes aren’t activated by failures in electronic systems. NTHSA noted that it has not yet completed its investigation.
