Case in Point

Baby suffers brain damage after untimely cesarean section

The plaintiffs sued the hospital, the doctor who managed the delivery, and a nurse who assisted, alleging the defendants failed to timely discontinue the vaginal delivery and perform a cesarean before the baby experienced prolonged oxygen deprivation. The parties settled before trial for $6.5 million. Cisneros v. Advoc. Health & Hosps. Corp.
