The class alleged, among other claims, that the lessor’s implementation of a 5 percent increase on the monthly payment for their copier leases constituted a breach of contract. Suit claimed that class members had no choice but to pay the increase because immediate removal of the copiers would damage their businesses. The parties reached a $4.9 million settlement.
