The first evening, trial teams will learn about the importance of focus groups, and best practices and techniques, including shaping their cases, effective listening, and extracting all possible viewpoints from the focus group.
Trial teams will then spend time with their assigned faculty member to break down their cases and design their concept focus groups based on the cases they bring to the program.

Thursday, November 29
Concept focus groups will be run on each trial team’s case followed by an individual case analysis and debriefing on what we learned from the focus groups.
Based on the debriefing, trial teams will develop an updated trial story for their case to present to the first structured focus group.

Friday, November 30
Structured focus groups will be run on each trial team’s case followed by an individual case analysis and debriefing on what we learned from the focus groups.
Based on the feedback from the first structured focus group, trial teams will rework their trial story for their case to present to the second structured focus group.

Saturday, December 1
Building on the focus group feedback and case critiques, each trial team's case will be further explored during the second structural focus group. Trial teams will build a revised case and trial plan.
This will be followed by roundtable discussions synthesizing the focus group information and making sense of the results.
