Richard D. Hailey Scholarship 

The Richard D. Hailey Scholarship is open to all first and second-year African American, Hispanic, Asian American, Native American, and biracial AAJ law student members.

The American Association for Justice proudly announces the 2013 award recipients:

Monier Abusaft
Jacob Aschmutat
Briana Cavallaro
Natalie Dalrymple
Nesha Drummond
Hector Rodriguez


Scholarships will be awarded to the applicants who best meet the criteria listed, but not limited to, below:

Exhibit an interest and proficiency of skills in trial advocacy
Express a desire to represent victims
Demonstrate a commitment to AAJ and dedication to its mission through involvement in an AAJ student chapter and Minority Caucus activities
Show a financial need for the scholarship
Applications must include the following:

A resumé
A 500-word essay on how you meet the criteria
Up to three (3) recommendations from a faculty adviser, trial advocacy professor, dean, AAJ member, or trial lawyer; and
A completed form verifying your student status. Download and print out the form
Every applicant must be enrolled in an ABA accredited law school. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
