Yvonne M. Flaherty concentrates her practice in the areas
of antitrust, commercial litigation and products liability litigation
groups. She is a member of the American Association for Justice and
the Minnesota State, Hennepin County and Federal Bar associations.
Ms. Flaherty is also extremely active in complex litigation involving
pharmaceutical products. She also serves on various committees in
MDL 1431, In re Baycol Litigation, and is chair of the MDL Learned
Intermediary Committee. Ms. Flaherty currently serves on the American
Association for Justice Board of Governors and as Second Vice Chair
of the Women's Caucus. Ms. Flaherty is an attorney at Lockridge Grindal
Nauen P.L.L.P. in Minneapolis, MN.
Tobi L. Millrood has been active in numerous Mass
Torts, including Fen Phen, Baycol, Meridia, Thimerosal, Ephedra and
Hormone Therapy. Currently, Mr. Millrood serves as Liaison Counsel
in the consolidated Hormone Therapy Mass Tort Litigation in Philadelphia
County. Mr. Millrood is a prior member of both the Board of Governors
of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the Cabinet of
the Philadelphia Bar Association Young Lawyers' Division Executive
Committee. Mr. Millrood is the current Chair of the Hormone Therapy
Litigation Group and manages the Mass Tort department of Schiffrin
& Barroway, LLP in Radnor, Pennsylvania.
Hunter J. Shkolnik is a Cochair of AAJ's Heart Devices
Litigation Group. Mr. Shkolnik specializes in the trial of significant
personal injury cases primarily in the area of medical malpractice
and product liability. He is a member of the Plaintiff's Steering
Committee and a lead counsel in the N.Y. Diet Drug/Phen-Fen litigation;
a member of the Plaintiff's Steering Committee and a lead counsel
in the N.Y. Sulzer Inter-Op Hip and Knee Implant litigation; he is
both an Assistant Treasurer and on the Board of Directors of the New
York State Trial Lawyers (NYSTLA); Immediate Past-President of the
Long Island Affiliate of the NYSTLA; past member the Medical Malpractice
Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York; past
Vice Chairman of the Medical Legal Committee of the Nassau County
Bar Association; and is past Vice- Chairman of the AAJ Health Care
Finance Litigation Group; Vice-Chairman and Science Committee Director
of the AAJ Orthopedic Implant Litigation Group; Chairman of the AAJ
Breast Cancer Litigation Group. He has lectured extensively in the
areas of medical malpractice, medical device, auto product and drug
product liability. Mr. Shkolnik is a partner at Rheingold Valet Rheingold
Shkolnik & McCartney LLP in New York, NY.
Teresa Clark Toriseva is a cochair of AAJ's Heart
Devices Litigation Group and also AAJ's Bausch & Lomb Contact Lens
Solution Litigation Group. She has extensive mass tort experience,
including asbestos, tobacco, breast implant, Baycol, Propulsid, Vioxx,
Bextra, and most recently heart devices. She is a frequent lecturer
regarding pharmaceutical litigation. Ms. Toriseva is the Vice-President
of the West Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and is a sustaining
member of AAJ. She often serves as a special assistant attorney general,
assisting the State of West Virginia in pursuing claims against pharmaceutical
and other companies for consumer protection violations against state
residents. Ms. Toriseva is a partner at the law firm of Wexler Toriseva
Wallace LLP in Wheeling, West Virginia.
