www.justice.org Advertising Guidelines
1. www.justice.org
will accept tower banner advertising on the left side of most pages,
including the home page. Certain areas of www.justice.org, such as the
Foundations, contributions, etc., will not accept banner advertising.
2. In general
www.justice.org will not accept banner advertising for areas including:
- publications
- lawyer advertising
- CLE seminars, teleseminars, online learning, or trial skills programs
- conventions
- foundations
- lawyer marketing "directories" - Web sites which list
lawyers and law firms by county, state, etc.
- any company whose ads would conflict with an AAJ affinity program,
i.e., credit card company, rental car company, etc.

reserves the right to reject any ad that would infringe upon AAJ
policy interests.
3. Individual expert witnesses will be able to post an advertising
banner only after they have provided five attorney references, with
two of them being AAJ members. Ad banners from legal research-type
companies and legal media companies will be approved on a case-by-case
basis. Advertisers should check with the Associate Director of Sales
for details.
4. www.justice.org
will not accept deceptive advertising, or ads which are excessively
animated. www.justice.org reserves the right to reject any banner copy
or link that does not conform with reasonable standards of good taste,
and reserves the right to set additional requirements or restrictions
for online advertisers on a case by case basis.
5. www.justice.org will not accept advertising for certain productsamong
them firearms, tobacco, and alcoholic beveragesthat negatively
affect the health and safety of the public-at-large. www.justice.org
will not accept advertising that contains copy with sexual or other
connotations in questionable taste.
6. www.justice.org
discourages advertising copy that refers to large jury awards or settlements
or that otherwise appeals primarily to maximizing awards. www.justice.org
shall not accept advertising copy that specifies monetary awards.
www.justice.org also discourages overemphasis on price; emphasis should
be on product quality, content, and value for legal audience.
7. In any
"legal mall" area on www.justice.org, where advertising companies
are categorized, the order of appearance to the viewer will be on
a rotational basis. All companies will have an even chance of appearing
at the top of their category list.
8. www.justice.org
encourages the submission of advertisements that help demonstrate
the beneficial contribution trial lawyers make to ensuring that we
have a civil justice system that protects the rights of individuals.
We advocate ad content which focuses on helping victims and seeking
justice.
