What is the AAJ Student Trial Advocacy Competition?

Win National Mock Trial Competition!


West Palm Beach, Florida (March 14, 2004) – Stuart Baker, Michelle Holiday, Ron Johnson, and Jessica Morrison formed the amazing team from the University of Akron School of Law which won the national "mock trial" competition sponsored by the American Association for Justice (AAJ). The winning team was coached by Larry Sutter and David Toepfer.

Known as the annual AAJ Student Trial Advocacy Competition (STAC) the mock trials began in February in 14 cities where 224 teams from 124 schools faced each other regionally. The top team from each region advanced to the finals competition held March 11 - 14 in West Palm Beach, Florida, and hosted by Stacey Mullins and the law firm of Lavalle Brown Ronano & Soff of Boca Raton, Florida.
