The Truth About the November Fund
What is the November Fund?
- The November Fund, organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,
is a front group for the pharmaceutical industry, which is leading
the campaign to keep America's seniors from getting low cost prescription
drugs from Canada, and for other corporate special interests, including
the tobacco and insurance industries.
Who leads the November Fund?
- Bill Brock and Craig Fuller: The very same political hatchet men
who organized big tobacco's deceptive campaigns to hook America's
kids and Richard Nixon's dirty tricks during Watergate are orchestrating
this shadow group. These veterans of conspiracies and cover-ups
are fighting for corporate special interests that now want to take
away the legal rights of American families.

Who funds the November Fund?
- The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the November Fund's largest funder
at $1 million minimum. The Chamber also intends to spend $1 million
in additional money on GOTV outreach in several key battleground
states and $15$50 million in judicial races across the country.

Six Battleground States," 9/27/04; "Chamber not in state
races," by Jennifer McKee, Montana Forum, 10/1/04
- Craig Fuller, one of two leaders of the Fund, conveniently serves
on the U.S.
Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
- Serving as a front group for other interests is not new for the
Chamber. In fact, since Tom Donohue has been CEO of the U.S. Chamber
of Commerce, "[h]is most striking innovation has been to offer
individual companies and industries the chance to use the chamber
as a means of anonymously pursuing their own political ends."
