Amy Brogioli is a Staff Attorney at the American Association for Justice. She tracks cases in the U.S. Supreme Court and writes Amicus Curiae Briefs. Prior to joining AAJ, Ms. Brogioli specialized in family law at Birnbaum, Haddon, Gelfman & Arnoux, LLC in Chicago, Illinois.
Deepak Gupta is the founding principal of Gupta Wessler PLLC. He focuses on Supreme Court, appellate, and complex litigation on a wide range of issues, including constitutional law, class actions, and consumers’ and workers’ rights. He is currently a 2018-2019 Wasserstein Public Interest Fellow at Harvard Law School and has previously taught courses on public interest law and appellate advocacy as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown and American universities. Mr. Gupta is a member of the American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) Business Tort Section; Amicus Curiae Committee; and Legal Affairs Committee. Gupta Wessler PLLC is located in Washington, DC.

J.D. Hays, Jr. is the senior attorney at Taylor King Law’s Springdale, Arkansas office. Mr. Hays is a member of the American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) Motor Vehicle Collision, Highway and Premises Liability Section, Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group, and Trucking Litigation Group. He serves on AAJ’s Board of Governors, the AAJ PAC Task Force, the Public Education Committee, the Trial Lawyers Care Committee, the Voter Protection Committee, the Membership Oversight Committee, and donates to AAJ PAC. He is also a member of the Oklahoma Association for Justice, the Public Justice Foundation, and the Pound Civil Justice Institute. Gerson H. Smoger, Ph.D. focuses his practice on personal injury and consumer litigation. Dr. Smoger currently serves on the boards of Public Citizen, Public Justice (as a past President) and Physicians for Human Rights, as a trustee of the Pound Civil Justice Institute, and as Chair of Legal Affairs for the American Association for Justice (AAJ). He also is a co-sponsor of a national law school competition (the “Hogan/Smoger Access to Justice Essay Contest”).
