Inadequate security near ATM

Doe, a young man, was shot while using an ATM.

His estate sued the ATM’s operator, alleging inadequate security. The plaintiff asserted that the area had a history of crime, as did the premises where the ATM was located.

The parties settled for $5.5 million.
