Where is the convention being held?
The American Association for Justice’s 2026 Winter Convention will be held at the Hotel del Coronado
Where is registration located and what are the hours?
Registration kiosks will be located in the Southpointe Foyer of the Southpointe Conference Center at the Hotel Del Coronado during the following times:

Where is the AAJ Exhibit Experience located and what are the hours?
The AAJ Exhibit Experience will be located in the South Pointe Foyer of the South Pointe Conference Center at the Hotel del Coronado during the following times:

Sunday, February 22
8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Monday, February 23

I am interested in attending the convention, but I am not an AAJ Member. Can I still attend?
Attending an AAJ Convention is an exclusive benefit provided only to the following AAJ member types and their guest:
- AAJ Regular Members
- Paralegal Affiliate
- Legal Administrator
- Government
- Military
- Law Students
- Law Graduates
- Law Professors
- Judges as well a State and Provincial Trial Lawyers Association Directors and their Staff are welcome.
Can I reserve my hotel room before registering for the Winter Convention?
You can make your hotel reservations online with our housing vendor.
How do I receive CLE credits from the education sessions I attend at the convention?
There will be CLE kiosks set-up in the registration area, where you will be able to submit your worksheet online.
When will the convention app be available?
The app for the convention will be available for download approximately one week prior to the convention. You will receive an email prior, containing the download instructions along with your login and password to access the app.
What date is the last day I must register for the convention?
You have until February 13, 2026, to register by phone, but you can register throughout the convention online until February 24, 2026.
I am interested in speaking at the convention. How do I sign up?
AAJ is continuously looking for new, energetic speakers to share their knowledge and skills with the AAJ community. More information on serving as a CLE speaker can be found online.
I am no longer able to attend the Winter Convention. How do I cancel my registration?
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to AAJ. Cancellations received by December 5, 2025 will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations received between December 6, 2025–January 9, 2026 will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
After January 9, 2026, requests for refunds will not be honored.
You can substitute your registration with another AAJ member in your firm. Cancellations must be emailed no later than the date specified above. Refunds will be credited back to the original payment method within 14 business days. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received after the date specified in the registration confirmation. After this date, AAJ has guaranteed attendance participation with event partners and venues. Non-payment or non-attendance does not constitute cancellation. Non-receipt of a confirmation registration before the event does not justify seeking a refund. Substitutions for the same event are honored at any time for confirmed, paid registrants when emailed.
I cancelled my Winter Convention registration. Will AAJ also cancel my hotel reservation?
AAJ will not cancel your hotel reservation; you must do that directly with the AAJ’s travel agent. After the housing cut-off, you will need to contact the hotel directly.
Is childcare being provided?
No childcare services will be provided for this convention. You can check with the hotel for recommendations.
What is the dress code?
The dress code for the Winter Convention is business causal for AAJ functions.
How far is the airport from Hotel del Coronado?
The hotel is about 15 minutes from the San Diego International Airport.
What are the transportation options to the Hotel del Coronado?
The San Diego International Airport offers a variety of ground transportation options, from major rental car companies to taxicabs, limousines, and ride-booking services (Uber and Lyft) all conveniently located. More information regarding transportation can be found on the airport website.
Will there be Wi-Fi at the convention?
Yes, there will be Wi-Fi at the convention. The information will be provided onsite upon check-in.
I lost my badge. What can I do?
Go to the AAJ Registration Area, On-Site Registration Counter to request a new one. Your badge is your admission to all meetings and events and will need to be replaced.
I want to renew my membership. What do I do?
Refer person to the AAJ Booth in the Southpointe Foyer of the Southpointe Event Center.
Where can I join a certain Section?
You can obtain information about Sections Membership at the AAJ Booth in the Southpointe Foyer of the Southpointe Event Center.
Where is Press registration?
Press is not allowed access to our conventions. If a person comes up saying they are press, please contact Heather Sager or any AAJ Staff member as soon as possible so they can speak with them.
My friends are registered. How can I get in touch with them?
If your friends are staying at the hotel, you may want to leave a message in their room. AAJ does not page members at its meetings. You can also message attendees through the convention app.
I need assistance with the convention app?
Please go to the AAJ Convention App Help Desk for assistance located in the Southpointe Foyer of the Southpointe Event Center.
I'm a speaker. Where can I view my slides?
The Speaker Ready Room is located in Mezzanine 1 in the Southpointe Event Center. Please encourage all speakers to go there to upload their presentations so they can test them out.
Do you have a Lost & Found area?
Yes, lost items should be left at the AAJ Registration desk, located in the Southpointe foyer of the Southpointe Event Center. At the end of the day, items will be turned over to security.
Where will the 2026 Annual Convention and the 2027 Winter Convention be held?
The 2026 Annual Convention will be held in Chicago, IL at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, July 22–30. The 2027 Winter Convention will be held in New Orleans, LA, February 27–March 7 at the JW Marriott.
