Nurses’ improper handling of uterine hyperstimulation results in child’s brain damage

The family of a child who suffered brain damage at birth has settled claims against a hospital that its nurses failed to heed signs of uterine hyperstimulation on fetal monitoring strips and delayed notifying the mother’s treating physician. Stanziano v. Miami Valley Hosp.
