Minority Caucus

Established in 1992, the Minority Caucus is responsible for recommending and developing educational opportunities, networking programs, and other activities of special interest to AAJ members of color. The Caucus helps to develop programs to stimulate minority membership and participation in leadership roles. It also works on joint programs with other AAJ Sections and special interest groups.

Sponsor a Minority Member

Help to grow minority membership of AAJ by sponsoring a member.  Are there other attorneys of color in your region who you would like to see at AAJ?

Sponsor a one-year annual membership for a person of color. With special sponsorship pricing* of $50 to $135, the economic cost to you is minimal but the reward to the recipient and to AAJ is tremendous!  Introduce a colleague to AAJ and give them the opportunity to see the extraordinary value of AAJ membership.

As a sponsor you commit to:

• Pay the 1st year membership dues for the sponsored member
• Introduce yourself to the member via telephone or email
• Invite the new member to convention and meeting them there
• Invite the new member to explore the website and Minority Caucus page
• At the end of the sponsor year, personally ask them to renew their membership, because we need and want them to be a part of AAJ.

You will be recognized for your contribution to membership at the Minority Caucus business meeting, on the Minority Caucus web page, in the Minority Caucus newsletter, and at the Board of Governors meeting.
