Supreme Court OKs employer’s search of worker’s personal messages
Dodging larger Fourth Amendment questions, the Court held that the review of a police officer’s personal text messages on his department-issued pager was not unreasonable because the department was justified in learning why he was using large amounts of wireless minutes. “The decision is almost more important for what’s left unanswered,” said an ACLU attorney.
