By AAJ Exchange
The AAJ Exchange’s newly updated Litigation Packet, DePuy Hip Implant, educates members on the recall of the popular metal-on-metal hip implants and litigation surrounding the recall.
The DePuy Hip Implant Litigation Packet provides resources for attorneys investigating cases against DePuy Orthopaedics and injuries caused by ASR and ASR XL hip implants. The packet contains case screening material including client intake and questionnaire and also includes complaint, information on state court actions and multidistrict litigation (MDL), and the 510(k) premarket notification procedure. The packet also includes AAJ Education speaker papers and other important resources about the hip implant recall.
The AAJ Exchange recently updated the Reglan/Metoclopramide Litigation Packet. Reglan, or its generic equivalent Metoclopramide, is a dopamine antagonist/neuroleptic drug used to treat patients with gastroesophageal reflux (GERD), diabetic gastroparesis, and to prevent nausea and vomiting related to chemotherapy. The FDA estimates that more than 2 million Americans are taking a form of this drug.
The Reglan/Metoclopramide Litigation Packet provides AAJ plaintiff attorneys the tools to pursue Reglan/Metoclopramide claims on behalf of their injured clients. The packet addresses the link between Reglan/Metoclopramide and tardive dyskinesia and other related disorders. It also contains initial client intake material and court documents including complaints and written discovery. The packet also contains a litigation update which specifically addresses generic manufacturers and preemption, timeline of events and other resources including an AAJ Education speaker paper, an abbreviated medical glossary, and survey of journal articles.
