Carol Avard concentrates her practice in personal injury, social security disability, and employment discrimination cases.  She is a member of AAJ, the Florida Association for Justice, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR).  Ms. Avard is a member of AAJ’s Social Security Disability Law Section.  Avard Law Offices, P.A. is headquartered in Cape Coral, Florida.

Shannon R. Bateson is an associate with the Columbus, Ohio based firm Barkan Meizlish.  She received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.  Ms. Bateson is admitted to practice in front of the Supreme Court of Ohio and the United States District Court Southern District of Ohio.  She is an active member of NOSSCR, as well as the local Social Security Disability Section of the Columbus Bar Association.

Gregory A. Benker concentrates his practice in ERISA benefits, social security disability, employment, insurance, and health benefits litigation.  He is listed as a rising star in the area of ERISA litigation by Illinois Super Lawyers.  Mr. Benker is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and AAJ’s Social Security Disability Law and Insurance Law Sections.  Daley, DeBofsky & Bryant is located in Evanston, Illinois.

Eric L. Buchanan is a certified Social Security Disability Specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization and has represented disabled people and other policyholders across the United States in both ERISA and non ERISA disputes.  He is a past chair and current member of AAJ’s Social Security Disability Law Section and a member of AAJ’s Health Care Finance and Disability Litigation Group.  Mr. Buchanan is a member of the Tennessee Association for Justice Board of Governors and is a sustaining member of NOSSCR.  The law firm of Eric Buchanan & Associates, PLLC is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Debbie Foster has been working with law firms since 1995, helping implement solutions ranging from practice management, time, billing, accounting, document management, and general law office management issues.  She trains consultants around the country on software programs used in law firms and best practices when consulting on a law firm’s technology.  Ms. Foster is active in the Law Practice Management Section of the American Bar Association, and has served as the chair of the American Bar Association Techshow in 2010.  Affinity Consulting Group has offices in Atlanta, Georgia, Columbus, Ohio, Roanoke, Virginia, and Coral Gables, Naples, and Largo, Florida.

Douglas K. W. Landau concentrates his practice in personal injury, workers compensation, and federal social security disability income litigation.  He is a member of AAJ’s Motor Vehicle Collision, Highway, and Premises Liability Section, Social Security Disability Law Section, and Workers’ Compensation and Workplace Injury Section.  He is also a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, NOSSCR, and served as a judge for AAJ’s Student Trial Advocacy Competition (STAC).  Abrams Landau Ltd is located in Herndon, Virginia.

John V. Tucker, course advisor, represents disabled people in social security disability, SSI, disability insurance, and ERISA disability benefit claims.  He is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell, is ranked “Superb 10/10” by, and was named to Tampa Bay Magazine’s “Top Lawyers in Tampa Bay.”  Mr. Tucker is an adjunct law professor at Stetson University College of Law teaching employee benefit litigation skills and also handles Social Security Disability and Veterans Administration Disability claims and appeals.  He is chair of AAJ’s Social Security Disability Law Section and belongs to the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association, the Clearwater Bar Association, NOSSCR, the National Association of Disability Representatives, and the National Organization of Veterans Advocates.  He is past president of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Mid-Florida Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.  Mr. Tucker is a founding shareholder of Tucker & Ludin, P.A. with offices in Clearwater and Tampa, Florida.

J. Michael Woods is a partner in the Evansville, Indiana based personal injury firm Woods & Woods, LLP.  He is a member of the Indiana Bar Association, Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, Evansville Bar Association, National Head Injury Foundation, and NOSSCR. 
Mr. Woods is a graduate of Indiana University School of Law.  His firm assumes an active role in organizing activities to support local charitable organizations and community groups within Evansville.

Enrique N. Vega, MS, C.R.C., C.D.M.S. is a vocational expert with Vocational Economics, Inc. in Woodland Hills, California.  He provides expert vocational testimony specific to earning capacity and work life expectancy for persons with a disability.  He is a board certified rehabilitation counselor, certified disability management specialist, a certified rehabilitation counselor by the U.S. Department of Labor, and a vocational expert under contract with the Social Security Administration.  Mr. Vegas holds a master’s of science degree in counseling with an emphasis in rehabilitation counseling.  He has experience working with both physically impaired and psychiatrically impaired persons with a disability.  Especially common are services he provides to individuals who sustained traumatic brain injury, post traumatic stress disorder, and physical impairments.  Mr. Vega is past president of the California chapter of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) and also serves as board member in the disability management section of IARP.  He has also served on the boards of the California Association of Rehabilitation and Re-employment Professionals (CARRP) and the Organization of Bilingual Rehabilitation Associates (OBRA).  Mr. Vega has written articles on issues related to employment of persons with disabilities and is coeditor of the 2008 Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS) Study Guide published by Elliot & Fitzpatrick.
