The American Association for Justice (AAJ) sent a letter to members of Congress outlining important legal principles that must be upheld in efforts to reform the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) in order to effectively protect public safety. The letter details how the civil justice system and state laws complement federal regulation, ensure accountability and provide a safety net when federal regulation is insufficient.
