SCOTUS Hears Important Consumer Case Today

The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments today in Comcast v. Behrend, which alleged a classic example of a corporation monopolizing a market and overcharging its customers.

Our hearts go out to the people up and down the Eastern Seaboard and beyond who are affected by Hurricane Sandy. Coastal cities have been devastated and the death toll will likely continue to rise. AAJ’s own Linda Lipsen has again been named a top lobbyist in Washington by The Hill newspaper. Ms. Lipsen has led AAJ’s advocacy team as CEO for more than two years and successfully fought efforts that would limit Americans’ access to the courts.
