Washington, DC—The following is a statement from American Association for Justice (AAJ) CEO Linda Lipsen regarding the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee passing the FAIR Act.

“On behalf of all of the victims and survivors who have had their rights trampled on by forced arbitration, AAJ commends the House Judiciary Committee for passing the Forced Injustice Repeal (FAIR) Act to end forced arbitration. The bill, which was reported out of the committee with bipartisan support, is the first of its kind to reach this critical step in the legislative process - a truly monumental step in the fight to rein in corporate immunity. We hope to see the bill on the floor of the House of Representatives soon and encourage all members to vote yes to restore Americans' constitutional rights.”
