Improper employee training, supervision
January/February 2024Gwyneth Scott was at a children’s playground with her nanny. Roe, an adult man with mental disabilities, allegedly assaulted Scott, causing her to suffer bleeding, bruising, swelling, pain, and emotional distress.
Scott, through her parents, and her parents, individually, sued Autism Home Services, Inc., which allegedly provided care and supervision to Roe. The plaintiffs alleged improper employee training and supervision, negligent hiring, and failure to enact proper safety protocols.
The parties settled for $125,000.
