What is something you thought you would be doing frequently as a lawyer but don't do that often?
April 2024Trial appearances are less common than I initially expected. While I cherish the opportunities to go to trial, a significant portion of legal work involves the crucial prep work—detailed research, drafting documents, client consultations, and negotiations.

Wearing a suit. Everything is now handled on a computer. If there is a court hearing, it’s usually over video. For these occasions, I keep a jacket in my office and put it on over whatever I am wearing.
