A motorist allegedly attempted to turn left at an intersection and struck a vehicle in which Doe, 82, was a passenger. Doe suffered serious injuries, including a broken sternum and spine, and was hospitalized for three days. She underwent 16 weeks of physical therapy and now requires in-home care.

Doe alleged an undisclosed defendant was liable for the crash.

The parties settled for $1.25 million.
