Brief of the American Association for Justice as Amicus Curiae in Support of Plaintiff-Appellants and Reversal

 

Issue: Whether, pursuant to the personal jurisdiction provisions of the Anti-Terrorist Act (“ATA”), Congress has the authority to prescribe the manner in which foreign entities can indicate their consent to appear in American courts in response to ATA claims brought by Americans seeking legal redress for wrongful deaths and injuries caused by terrorist attacks planned or carried out by employees or agents of those foreign entities.
