Navan Ward, Jr., Member Services and Education Officer, is a principal at Beasley Allen Law Firm. He is the firm’s lead attorney on the metal-on-metal hip implant litigation, and practices from the Atlanta office. He is licensed to practice in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and New York. He was selected to serve on the Plaintiffs Steering Committee for the DePuy “ASR” Hip Implant Recall MDL, as well as to the PSC for the DePuy “Pinnacle” Hip Replacement MDL. Mr. Ward was also appointed as co-lead counsel for the Plaintiffs Executive Committee in the Biomet M2a Magnum Hip Implant Products Liability MDL. Mr. Ward has earned a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rating. In 2017, he was awarded the American Association for Justice’s Minority Caucus Stalwart Award. He was also selected to the 2018 edition of the Best Lawyers in America list and the 2017 Super Lawyers list. Mr. Ward received the AAJ Distinguished Service Award in 2012 and again in 2015. In 2014, he was the recipient of AAJ’s Wiedemann & Wysocki Award. Currently, he serves as the vice president of AAJ and is a generous AAJ PAC Eagle donor. He has also served as a past chair of the Minority Caucus, past chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, a member of the Board of Governors, and a member of the Executive Committee. In addition, he has served as an American Bar Association member, where he served as a former Alabama State Bar delegate; Alabama Lawyers Association member, where he served as a past president; Alabama State Bar member, where he has served as a former ABA delegate, and past president of the Young Lawyers Section.
