E-Cigarettes

E-cigarettes are electronic nicotine delivery systems that produce a heated vapor that is inhaled like smoke. The e-cigarettes are heated by a battery in the device. Unfortunately, e-cigarette batteries can overheat and explode, which have caused serious injuries. In addition to the risk posed by fire and explosions, the devices also produce toxins that are inhaled in the form of vapor. These toxins are links to numerous side-effects, including severe lung disease.   

The E-Cigarette Litigation Group assists AAJ members investigating and litigating  claims against the manufacturers of e-cigarettes. 

The E-Cigarettes Litigation Group has a secure, members-only list server and document library where members can share pertinent information and documents regarding the litigation. The E-Cigarettes Litigation Group holds regular meetings that are closed to members only for the purpose of discussing current cases and important updates.

AAJ Annual and Winter Convention, or as needed by group members. 

• Meetings: This Litigation Group was formed in November 2016.

• Membership: Open to AAJ Regular, Life, Sustaining, President's Club, and Leaders Forum members.

• Dues: $150 annually
