Spinal Cord Injury

The Spinal Cord Litigation Group provides literature, expert, and litigation resources for AAJ members handling spinal cord injury cases. The Group aims to increase the awareness of spinal cord injury as a distinct damages practice area while increasing the ability of attorneys to procure sufficient funds to enhance the lives of spinal cord injury patients.

Spinal cord injury cases constitute a significant percentage of high value injury cases. 250,000 people in the US have a spinal cord injury with slightly more considered paraplegic than quadriplegic. Approximate 11,000 new injuries occur each year with over half occurring between the ages of 16 and 30. The two most common causes of spinal cord injuries are vehicular accidents and falls, though violence is a close third.

The Spinal Cord Litigation Group member benefits include a group document library, list server, and education programs.

Dues:

$150/attorney
