Description:

The prolonged use and consumption of olmesartan medoxomil (sold under the brand names Benicar, Benicar HCT, Tribenzor and Azor) causes severe gastrointestinal injuries. These medications are all angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB), and are used to treat high blood pressure. Dozens of cases have already been filed since January 2014.

The purpose of the Benicar/Azor/Tribenzor Litigation Group includes litigation planning, strategy, and information sharing to facilitate a coordinated action against the manufacturers of olmesartan medoxomil for severe gastrointestinal injuries allegedly caused by consumption of olmesartan. The Litigation Group provides regular content, such as documents and materials, and updates to its members through the list server and education programs.

This Litigation Group was formed in October 2014.
