2026 Student Trial Advocacy Competition Student Registration

Student team members must be AAJ members by January 16, 2026, in order to participate. Each team consists of four law students. Virtual teams may have an optional Trial Technician who must also be a student and register for membership and the event.

All students must verify their membership and register for their respective team online. Students must become members before registering for this event. After registering, students must fill out the survey that is sent with the confirmation email. Step-by-step instructions are available here.

AAJ Law Student membership dues are $15. If you have any questions about AAJ’s law student membership, or if you have any trouble becoming a member online, please contact the AAJ Membership Team at membership@justice.org or (202) 965-3500, option 1.

If you receive the error "There was network error while adding event to the cart," it means you do not have an active AAJ law student membership, and you must join.
