Latest Updates from AAJ on COVID-19

Message from LInda Lipsen, AAJ CEO
Updated March 31, 2020

Dear AAJ Member,

This is a difficult time for many within the AAJ member family, but trial lawyers are fighters, and we will get through this. I want you to know that the American Association for Justice is committed to bringing you the resources you need during these challenging times. To that end, I want to announce some new tools we are offering to members beginning this week:

New AAJ Facebook Members-Only Group

This is a private group on Facebook where you can connect with members from across the country. Whether you need advice on working virtually with the courts, managing a remote office, or just need a mental break and some advice on what to binge watch next, this is a home for you. Please find us by going to Facebook and searching American Association for Justice members only; from there, you can submit your application to this private group.

AAJ COVID-19 Microsite
This week, we plan to launch a rapid response website as a resource for AAJ members. The site will deliver updates on advocacy and legislation during this crucial time and updates on our educational offerings, plus resources to help you keep your firm running effectively as various aspects of your practice, juror perspective, and the law are changing during the COVID-19 era.

Practice Area Care Package Emails
We’ll be delivering targeted packages to practice area groups to highlight resources for your practice in this time of need. We will feature our online and rapid response webinars; connect you to Section and member groups’ online discussions and resources; and offer discounts on AAJ Litigation Packets.

AAJ Community Roundtables
We are initiating small group online roundtables to facilitate discussion and information sharing within your section, caucus, or practice area. These roundtables will bring together AAJ members via video conference to connect you with other trial lawyers. Our goal is to provide as many resources as we can so that you get the answers and resources you need. These roundtables will be launched on a rolling basis, so keep an eye out for more information.

We are launching a new hashtag on social media this week. Even though we are currently apart, we are not alone. Whether it’s protecting your clients as new legislation is passed or providing the most up-to-date information on how the practice of law is changing in this time of need, when we come together as AAJ, we will succeed. #AAJtogether

On that note, there truly is only one AAJ. We know how to fight for your practice and your clients. We have faced many challenges successfully with your support, and we will continue to lead as the only national association that combines the community, advocacy, and education to strengthen your practice and protect your clients’ rights.

Thank you for being an AAJ member. If you have questions, please contact AAJ at

Stay healthy and be safe.
