July 17,2020

Washington, DC — The American Association for Justice (AAJ®) is pleased to announce that Pennsylvania trial lawyer Tobi Millrood was sworn in as the new President of AAJ during the 2020 Amped-Up virtual convention. Millrood is a partner and member of Pogust Millrood, LLC in suburban Philadelphia. He has over 25 years of complex litigation experience and specializes in representing those who have been injured by pharmaceutical and medical device litigation.

"I am humbled to serve as president of AAJ during these unprecedented times. From the economic and health calamities caused by the pandemic, to the existential crisis confronting our nation on race relations and authority in America, this is going to be a year filled with constant challenges, but also opportunities for civil justice to help shape the direction of our nation,” Millrood said. “Now more than ever our mission to promote a fair and effective civil justice system is at the cornerstone of protecting the individual rights of all Americans. I am committed to advancing the goals of this organization and championing the rights of consumers and the essential work of AAJ members.

Millrood has long been known as both a trailblazer and a leader. Mr. Millrood has earned the accolades of his peers and the courts and has been appointed by numerous judges as a Lead Attorney in several high-profile national drug and device litigations. Millrood has been a dedicated member of AAJ Litigation Groups and a member of AAJ’s Executive Committee after being elected by the AAJ Board of Governors. He is currently a member of both the AAJ and Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAJ) Board of Governors, as well as the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association Board of Directors. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the District of New Jersey, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Court of Federal Claims and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Millrood resides in suburban Philadelphia with his wife and three sons.
