Washington, DC—The following is a statement from American Association for Justice (AAJ) President Kathleen Nastri responding to President Donald Trump’s tweet calling the entire American judicial system “broken and unfair” in response to a district court ruling he disagrees with:

“It is alarming that the President of the United States is making a habit of denigrating America’s judicial system. The President is entitled to disagree with a specific ruling, but as one who swore to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, he should not undermine it by wrongly condemning America’s courts and judges."
