Defective design, manufacture of exercise ball
June 7, 2022Doe, 33, started physical therapy after undergoing spinal surgery. While he was using an exercise ball as instructed, it burst, causing him to fall and fracture one of his vertebrae. As a result, he required additional spinal surgery.
He sued the exercise ball’s manufacturer, alleging defective manufacture and design. Suit also named the physical therapy facility.
The parties settled for $2.5 million.
