Settlement for couple’s Hepatitis A infections
August 8, 2023After the Does dined out at a restaurant, they contracted Hepatitis A. Jane Doe, 68, suffered severe symptoms that led to liver and kidney failure. She underwent kidney and liver transplants and will require lifelong care. John Doe, 69, suffered relatively minor symptoms, which resolved after he was treated at an ER.
A lawsuit arising out of the incident settled for $5.5 million.
