Failure to ensure food safety

October 8, 2024

Ariana Davis and Lyla Davis, both minors, dined together at Reel Seafood Co. Shortly after, they each fell violently ill with gastrointestinal issues and headaches lasting approximately four weeks.

Their parents sued Faith 227, Inc., which operated Reel Seafood Co., alleging negligence, strict liability, and breach of express and implied warranties. The plaintiffs asserted that the defendant failed to take adequate measures to ensure food products offered and sold at the Reel Seafood Co. restaurant were reasonably safe for patrons.

The parties settled their claims.
