Failure to perform fall assessments
January/February 2021Doe, an elderly resident of an assisted living facility, suffered from severe dementia. While at the facility, she experienced several falls. A month after suffering fractures from one of the falls, she died.
Suit alleged the facility failed to perform timely fall risk assessments of Doe.
The parties settled for $250,000.
