July/August 2024Lornester Wyatt, who was unable to walk, was admitted to Crestpark Helena. Within days of his admission, he developed a Stage IV pressure sore on his sacrum, which deteriorated to the point that he became septic. Despite medical intervention, he died.
Wyatt’s representative, on behalf of his estate and beneficiaries, sued Crestpark Helena, LLC, among others, alleging that the facility had been dangerously understaffed and that Wyatt had not been adequately turned or rotated.
