Paralyzed patient develops bed sores
March/April 2024Doe suffered a paralyzing injury. She was transferred to a rehabilitation and nursing facility, where she developed significant bed sores. They failed to heal fully for more than a year, leading to setbacks in Doe’s recovery.
Doe sued the facility, which defaulted. While the trial court was considering relief from the entry of default judgment, the parties settled confidentially.
