Minority Caucus Lobby Days
April 2018Every day, AAJ fights to protect Americans’ rights—but we need your help. Lobby Days are vital to AAJ’s efforts on Capitol Hill, and we encourage trial lawyers to participate.
From June 6–7, the Minority Caucus will host its fifth Lobby Days event in Washington, D.C. Every other year, members of the Minority Caucus come together for this day-and-a-half event.
The last Minority Caucus Lobby Days in 2016 was its most successful to date—more than 45 participants attended 120 meetings and engaged with members of Congress and their staff on issues including forced arbitration, policy riders, civil justice protections for servicemembers, and more.
Participants will be comprehensively briefed on significant legislative issues and will learn helpful lobbying tips. A congressional reception and a group dinner will be held after the briefing on the first day. On the second day, participants will meet in groups with members of Congress and their staff to discuss the importance of protecting the civil justice system and share client stories. No lobbying experience is necessary to attend.
