New Award for Civil Justice Scholarship
August 2018The Pound Civil Justice Institute has established a new award to honor legal scholars whose work supports the American civil justice system. The Pound Civil Justice Scholarship Award will recognize full-time law professors for legal research, public policy analysis, or advocacy writing about civil justice topics—such as ensuring the right to a jury trial and full access to the U.S. court system—that has been published within the previous three years.
The inaugural award will be presented at the Pound Fellows Reception on Feb. 3, 2019, in Miami Beach, Fla. The award recipient will receive a $10,000 honorarium as well as travel and accommodations for the reception.
Self-nominations will be accepted, as will submissions from law school deans, who may each nominate one scholar from their school. Submit nominations by Sept. 17 to Mary Collishaw of the Pound Institute at mary.collishaw@poundinstitute.org or via fax to (202) 298-6390.
