Thank you for contributing to the Voluntary Membership Assessment! Last year, we asked you to take a stand with AAJ and fight back against the attack on the plaintiff bar and the right to trial by jury. You answered our call.

Congress has introduced hundreds of bills that would harm consumers, patients, or workers. The bills keep coming as the attack on your practice and on the rights of your clients is relentless. Through the third quarter of 2017, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce spent more than $57 million to promote laws that, among other things, decimate the constitutional right to trial by jury.

We told you about our plan to fight back by communicating with voters who also want to fight back against a rigged system. Your contribution is allowing us to reach out to people across the country and is already making a tremendous difference by funding a digital communications, messaging, and advocacy plan. Our plan is working, but we have more to do.

AAJ is also investing in critical upgrades to our website. We are increasing our communications efforts in digital and print advertising, message development, and coalition building. There is more work ahead, and we thank you for standing up to fight on issues that are important to you and your clients.
