Evolving Content
January 2019The start of a new year often ushers in changes based on the experiences of the past year—and Trial is no exception. Based on the results of our last reader survey, starting this month you’ll see new and updated content to meet your practice needs. You asked for more technology-related content, both for running your firm and handling cases. Welcome “Tech Bytes”—a section that will run every other month on topics ranging from law-related podcasts to online marketing. This month’s column focuses on essential tech tools for when you’re working remotely or on the go to that next deposition (p. 56). If you’d like to see Tech Bytes cover a particular topic, email us at trial@justice.org.
You also requested more coverage on damages, discovery, and depositions. Later this year you’ll see entire issues of Trial dedicated to these topics. And we’ve changed our Good Counsel section to focus on these areas too, limiting it to one piece each month so you can delve a bit deeper into the subject. This month, David Ball and Artemis Malekpour lay out strategies for anchoring damages (p. 14).
We’ve also revamped the Books section to bring you more content—you’ll now see short summaries for several books, rather than a longer review of one book (p. 60). And our Justice in Motion section has a new, easier-to-read format (p. 58) that features AAJ’s products and services to help you represent your clients and run your firm. Finally, be sure to check out the cover of the magazine each month, where we are now highlighting non-theme content that applies across practice areas.
Thank you for reading Trial. Keep sending us your input so that we can continue to evolve with you and your practice.
