Failure to maintain roadways at apartment complex

Demetria Rollins fell and was injured while she was a business invitee of the Majestic Oaks Apartment Complex.

Rollins sued Cambridge Management of Washington, Inc., and SP MO Apartments, LLC, alleging negligence. Rollins asserted that the defendants had negligently maintained the roadways on the property and failed to timely inspect the roadways for tripping hazards. Suit also claimed that the defendants had failed to warn of the dangerous condition.

The jury awarded the plaintiff more than $829,800 for pain and suffering.
